The new Low Voltage Rescue (LVR) course is here

Safe Hands SA delivering UETDRMP018 LVR training Adelaide with CPR

At Safe Hands SA, we’re now delivering UETDRMP018 – Perform Rescue from a Live Low Voltage Panel, alongside HLTAID009 Provide CPR.

This updated LVR training in Adelaide and across regional South Australia is essential for electricians, apprentices, and anyone working around live electrical systems. Eligible workers may also access CITB subsidies, reducing training costs with no additional fees.

What’s changed?

  • UETDRMP018 has replaced the previous LVR units.

  • CPR (HLTAID009) remains a prerequisite. We deliver CPR + LVR together, or LVR as a standalone if CPR is current.

  • Old units teach-out periods:

    • UETDRRF004 – final delivery date 30 Sept 2025

    • UETDRMP007 – final delivery date 9 Aug 2026

  • Any training already completed remains valid until the certificate expiry date.

What’s included in UETDRMP018 LVR training?

Participants learn how to:

  • Meet WHS and legislative requirements for live electrical work

  • Identify hazards on electrical worksites

  • Inspect PPE and rescue equipment

  • Apply safe Low Voltage Rescue procedures

Why choose Safe Hands SA for LVR training?

We make compliance straightforward, with training designed for the construction and electrical industries:

✅ Same-day certificates and training records (where available)

✅ Onsite delivery across Adelaide and regional SA

CITB-endorsed and fully subsidised for eligible workers

✅ Trainers with strong electrical and construction knowledge

How often do I need to refresh CPR and LVR?

Both CPR and LVR must be renewed every 12 months to meet industry standards and maintain compliance.

Here are answers to the most common questions electricians, apprentices, and employers ask about LVR training in Adelaide and the new UETDRMP018 unit.

Is my UETDRRF004 or UETDRMP007 LVR qualification still valid?

Yes. If you’ve already completed UETDRRF004 or UETDRMP007, your training remains valid until the 12-month refresher is due. After that, you’ll need to complete the current unit (UETDRMP018).

What’s the difference between UETDRMP007 and UETDRMP018?

Both cover rescue from a live low voltage panel. UETDRMP018 is the updated unit now on training.gov.au, but some employers still require UETDRMP007 during the transition. Safe Hands SA can deliver both, depending on your workplace needs.

Do I need CPR to complete LVR?

Yes. HLTAID009 Provide CPR is a prerequisite for all LVR training. We deliver CPR + LVR together, or LVR as a standalone if your CPR is current.

Does CITB funding apply to LVR training?

Yes. Eligible construction and electrical workers in South Australia can access CITB subsidies, and Safe Hands SA manages the paperwork for you.
